Tzu Chi Academy London
To promote high-quality Chinese language education, Tzu Chi Foundation UK founded Tzu Chi Academy London, a Sunday Chinese School in Woodford, the northeast area of London, in 2018. We offer Chinese language courses and cultural activities and welcome students from reception classes to those aged 18 and above.
Our school’s objectives are as follows:
- To promote Tzu Chi’s overseas educational mission with the core values of “gratitude, respect, and love.” We combine “human-oriented education” with “language education” to nurture children’s moral values and instill the Tzu Chi humanitarian spirit of “compassion, joy, giving, sincerity, integrity, and honesty.”
- Through the study of the Chinese language, we aim to promote the understanding of Chinese culture among overseas Chinese students and those interested in learning the Chinese language.
Our curriculum offers both traditional and simplified Chinese characters, Zhuyin (Mandarin Phonetic Symbols), and Pinyin alongside educational materials that incorporate Tzu Chi’s humanistic teachings.
